I highly recommend arriving before lunch in Port Barton, so you may proceed on check-in then have your lunch, and directly go for an island hopping tour like what I did or other activities for the rest of the day.
People in Port Barton and generally in Palawan are known for their hospitality. During my stay in Port Barton, I never had a problem with my hotel and they provided and helped me with the things that I needed.
Here are my hotel recommendations at Port Barton:
Camp Backpackers Port Barton
Price (per night, per person): 500 PHP
Note: If you are a backpacker on a budget this place may work for you, but keep in mind that most of their rooms don’t have air conditioning.
Teteng’s Home

Day 3 Morning – Scuba Diving
I highly recommend doing Scuba Diving early in the morning to catch the most interesting spots and sea animals with very good weather and a calm ocean.
For scuba diving operators, you may ask your hotel staff or contact the following operators in Port Barton:
Day 3 Afternoon – Pamuayan Falls
On day 3 afternoon, you may go for a short hiking trip and waterfall bathing in Port Barton’s hidden gem, Pamuayan Falls.
To go there, ask your hotel attendant to pitch a tricycle or tuk-tuk for you to take you to the trailhead of Pamuayan Falls. It will take around 20 minutes to travel from the town to the trailhead. It will cost around 100 per person.
Note: Ask the tricycle driver for his contact details, and be clear with your agreement before leaving the hotel. Some tricycle drivers can be dckhd as they leave their passengers and not taking them back to their hotels after hiking.
You may optionally walk all the way from your hotel until the trailhead.
Here is the trailhead location.
Extra Trip – Highland Sunset Viewing
If you want an Instagrammable sunset picture and see the whole town of Port Barton from higher land, you might want to check out this place.
Like going to Pamuayan Falls, you may either rent a tricycle or walk to get there.
